This is from Death Valley - lots of sand! And very hot. There were signs at the bottom of the hills telling drivers to switch off aircon when going uphill because cars might struggle with the temperature and break down. That's the last thing you want to happen!

I love this photo. It is from a small town called Independence. I think the photo perfectly encapsulates the sleepiness and silence of this town with Death Valley on one side and Sequoia National Park on the other.

ReplyDeleteLandscapes like in your photos are dizzying. I have seen them in movies only, and these dry, deserted towns and mountains are unpleasant. But I should travel there and see them myself!
